What is especially versatile is that it offers two separate 14 inch interfaces one for higher impedance harder to drive headphones and another for lower impedance easier to drive headphones and iems and ear buds

The low impedance side is for 8600 ohm impedance headphones

On the va2 they worked extremely well out of the high impedance side opened up to its full potential and the volume didnt need to be past 14 9 oclock for good volume and cranked past the 11 oclock position 45 or so on the dial it was really loud

You might have headphones that are not obviously high or low impedance

For me my easier to drive grados 32ohm audiotechnica m40x 35 ohm philips shp9500 32 ohm panasonic rpht21 25ohm each sounded great out of either side with the volume at around 89 oclock as low as 10 level in some cases position on the high impedance and maybe 10 oclock 35 to 40 on the low impedance side
