The a1 was not in good condition but the audio sounded richer than it does through the smsl somehow

Great for use with chromecast audio because of the toslink input
Current setup i connect this smsl unit to my tv digitally via an optical toslink cable
Had problems with a usb3 card in my pc which put bursts of digital noise on the q5 outputs
It is also fitted with a 3amp fuse in it

It does struggle with the bass on cutty ranks limb by limb dj ss remix but at least it doesnt sound like someone drilling holes in a wall or something

Im using the usb input the sound is crystal clear and because its digital there is zero interference

The usb no 2 input will only use the 44

The digital volume control goes from 0 – 60 but ive only got it set to 16 at the moment with the corresponding computers volume control set to about 50
