Pros & Cons
Pros
Stainless knife is double edged, the black coated knife is single edged. Sharpens easily, holds edge well. Cannot comment on long term durability of that plastic.
The rubber handle completely encloses the metal and allows a good grip. The well-thought out, hard nylon-fiberglass “no strap” sheath is a surprising contraption.
Cons
Plastic clip on the sheath is not strong or durable at all. Blade is so dull it hardly serves as a lettet opener. Cheap copy of the gerber guardian.
Highlights
Quality
Size is nice quality steel and grip
Depending on your mounting method pulling the knife could pull the sheath along with the knife
Packaging/appearance
He loves it and says it’s sharp straight out of the box comfortable to use and a great boot knife
Before even getting into the ricasso the unsharpened area just above the handle guard
Competitiveness
Appears well made and for the price it was a nobrainer
I actually returned a competing brand knife because it was so noisy bouncing around in the plastic liner

The knife selflocks in the sheath as a result of the left and right outer points of the knife’s rubber guard snapping into little pockets inside the sheath see photo

Also while the inclination will be to “pull” the knife out of the sheath in the normal fashion the best way to release the knife is to simply grab the handle place a thumb on the top of the sheath and push
