Weighting same thing 10 times, give me different figures every time, having a difference of 0,007g between all of them. Not reliable at all. A brand new item that doesn't work is never a good sign.

This seems to be an excellent little scale
If battery life is an issue it could turn off the display back light after maybe a minute and turn it on again when the reading changes
The work area is a bit small but the 3 digit precision makes up for that

A time out of maybe 5 minutes after the last time the reading changed would probably be better
