The earplugs i haven't tried but to be frank they don't look that comfortable.

What i discovered if you turn the pillow 90 degrees when its around your neck it can actually support your chin as well.

I think this was largely down to the fact that the circumference of the collar when tightened was smaller than some of the others i tried.

And if you turn it around to 90° it supports your chin.
