Writing an initial review following my setup experience and first thoughts. I had much difficulty and ultimately this took me about 30 minutes of trial and error to get it connected correctly. I purchased this as an inexpensive alternative to a name brand smart power strip.Following the provided instructions, you first download the Smart Life application from your mobile devices app store, in my case android. You must create an account, which is mostly painless. Once you are into the app it starts you out by creating a family name and creating the rooms you have in your home. From there, along the top right hand side of the app you can tap the + sign to begin the device add process. For me, I selected the Electrical outlet device. Here's where it took me some time and trial and error to get it to work. There is a small reset button along the side of the device near where the power cord exits with the blinking indicator light next to it. Press and hold this for 5 seconds and release, you will audibly hear the strip click to turn the outlets on causing the indicator light to quickly blink green. Now, for me, I had to press and hold it for 5 more seconds after it started rapidly blinking green as this puts it in AP mode where it effectively broadcasts its own wireless network. You will know it is in AP mode as it will blind very slowly green as compared to rapidly blinking green. Once in AP mode return to the smart life app on the add device screen. Along the top right click AP mode. It will now prompt you to v pose your home wireless network and input the password. Once done it will then search for your power strips now broadcasting network, select it from the list and from here your app will pair the device to your wifi and you are all set.Next you can link the smart Life app to your Amazon Alexa or Google home accounts in the smart life app settings. Hopefully this helps someone out as there isn't much instruction out there. The power strip works great for me now that it's setup but not without some initial trouble.   Read Less
