This little contraption works well. Has a nice instruction book with. The instruction book is very detailed. Additional information is helpful to understand its resourcefulness.

The calipers never lie. It still hurts. But it works well.

Once calibrated to an accurate machine the three point skin fold test is just as accurate. My husband takes my measurements as certain locations (sub-scapular) would be impossible for me to pinch on myself.

Cons

The spring is so tight it bruises the skin. Even the diagrams in the booklet depict how to take measurements on someone else. Bad design or manufacturing defect.
