Quality
Every 50k gave it a jug of this with the oil change.
I would suspect the ptfe, not plated out on engine parts, would drain out with the old oil.
Same with v6's, the crank throws are at 60 degrees.
During a state inspection, the mechanic told me that with the old timing set i would never get passed 75,000 miles.
Price
My family could not afford that cost.
Competitiveness
I am happy to say that i drove that beast to 150,000 miles without any problems.
I used it on a subi 1998 impreza 2.
Most local mechanics whould not touch the engine, due to many call-backs and arguments from former customers.

I absolutely credit slick 50 with the fact that the motor never seized or even smoked even on the last day they drove it.

What these shafts are designed to do, is to cancel out the natural vibrations that v6's and inline 4's create.
