This saw has a lot of power but suffers from 1 a misalignment problem 2 a base plate defect and 3 lack of fine bevel adjustment

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The actual cut line is in my case 18 to the right of the notch and the laser falls on yet a different spot and is not straight

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

I solved the alignment problem by adjusting the laser

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

After removing the laser sticker you can see a torx screw that holds the laser housing

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

You need a t20 screwdriver to remove the screw the housing then comes right off

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

To adjust the laser unit first place a combination square or a double square right in front of the laser against the base place with the blade aligned to where the cut line is so that you can tell where the laser line is and if the laser line is square with the front of the base plate

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

All this while the saw is plugged in

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The most you can do with the laser unit is to wiggle it updownleftright
