As other reviewers have stated it cuts a regular sim to a micro sim with one of its templates

If you need a nano sim you will put the micro sim into the other template to punch out the nanosized sim

To make it work well be sure to align the sim card securely in the template of choice and press down firmly and fairly quickly

Keep the punched out sim card shell and reuse that though it may be a tight fit with the cutout smaller sized sim card you just made
