The leds are bright and constantly cycle tho the rainbow of colors when on

However to turn them onoff you have to bend down then unzip the battery compartment and pull out the battery holder and flip a very tinny switch

They do not light up when you step or turn off after a limited amount of time there either on or off and trying to turn them on in a dark room is very hard and so it turning them off before bed with the lights off so there is not much point to the leds
