I actually will strap it to the yak while still in the water and then just start pulling out from there

One problem quickly discovered with this cart is that it only comes with one strap when using just this strap the cart could not handle the terrain at all because it consistently slipped sideways under the kayak

There wasnt anything it couldnt wheel over with a loaded kayak

The wheels are tubed and did not arrive fully inflated so put that task on your list before heading out
