There is no spoiler with this review

The husband’s attack occurs in the very beginning of the book thus referring to it is not a spoiler to this story

Beth’s daughter katie and her son ben are exceedingly and visibly wary of strangers and to all of them jack is a stranger

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Amusingly one of the best characters in this book is not actually a person but rather an incorrigible and unsuccessfully trained former police dog named henry

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The multiple characters in this story are introduced well and include jack’s cousins a friendly cook a future victim of violence members of law enforcement a man with precognition skills a few other characters and a couple of disreputable or creepy men who might or might not be involved in stalking andor serial killing

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Not believable in this story is that someone with jack’s professional background would not almost immediately suspect that beth is running from an abusive situation

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Certainly not when considering her wary behavior and the sometimes almost cringing behavior of her children
