Hard case with removable soft pocketed pouch, secured with velcro. Everything fits inside very easily.

It isn't insulated like a beer cooler, it has a reflective interior and the outer shell is hard and durable. It keeps everything cold for about 6hrs.

Needless to say, this case, while it does do a good job protecting whats inside it, fails completely when it comes to insulation and keeping things cold. Even with two frozen cooling packs this case has a hard time cooling for more than 4 hours.
