It all starts with a huge botched job evies supposed first field assignment ends in a heartbreaking disaster and its something that effectively sets the tone for the rest of the novel

I love how sam harpers competencies and personal strengths are presented in a balanced way herehes someone you will root for and somehow sam keeps reminding me of clint eastwoods most famous movie character the lone invincible gunslinger against massive albeit invisible evil

And perhaps most importantly the entire edgeofyourseat action takes place in more or less a weekthe limited time frame adds more gravitas to the storys conflicts and resolution as you also feel it in your guts that a solution must be found or its all or nothing

It was hard to get into the book at the beginning
