I went with the 400 and 1000 whetstone because i have the 2000 and 6000 but needed the 400 grit to sharpen duller knives
I only use the honing rod that comes with the set
The stone seems of a good quality

The only issue with the stone that i got was that the rubber base didnt fit quite right and it makes it a little difficult to take in and out of the box but there is nothing wrong with the stone itself
