I bought 3 70 sony tvs at the same time and the first one failed with bad display panel 1 month before warranty expired and they replaced it with a lesser model tv that failed shortly after the other 2 70 tvs had failed display panels as well two months out of 1 yr warranty and all they said was to bad out of warranty

Sharp is on its way to a great tv at a reasonable price that will last i am sure much longer than sonys 1 year junk policy at such a high price to view tv for a year and throw away only to replace by a much better tv like sharp
