Love this device. They're really reliable we use them in our several rental homes we have here in seattle. Amazon.
Easy to install, works great no fitment issues with sharkbite connections on copper or pex. Plumbers hate it which makes me love it. Best brand of plumbing supplies. Comes with a go/no-go gauge to make sure your crimps are correct.
Shark bite connections are a good alternative to sweating copper pipe. Love the shark bite, never had a leak with one. Love shark bites.

These valves are horrible! These things leak like crazy.

The previous owners of our home ripped out their reverse osmosis system right before they moved out

They reassembled the main shut off valve for the house in a really crappy way and a couple years later the pvc valve yep pvc broke

The plan install it turn the water back on and see that it of course leaks remove it scrape and strip away the paint like i should have done in the first place and reinstall the valve while complaining that id been tricked into spending more money like always

It didnt work out that way due to the configuration of the pipes and i could not get the pipe to seat as far into the valve as was recommended according to instructions

So after some pushing and prying and bending the old pipes to get another 14 of pipe inside the valve we turned the water back on
