Pros

It casts well, with a smooth retrieval. For a negligible amount more money, this is a much better rod than you'll find in the vast majority of kid's combos. Purchased to catch triploid trout from the bank.

Reel is a solid starter. Only complaint is the drag ( the screw mechanism ) on my copy is on the loose side. Thinking bout ordering another one.

Cons

Ugly stick holds true to there name but the reel it comes with is the worst i have ever fished with. Only received half of the pole.
