I wanted to use them to hang string lights but had to return them since the cable is not really tight on the hooks which would result into drilling tons of holes in my hardie board

They work but since i am going into metal roof shingles i had to buy shorter screws that are self tapping

The clips are kind of hard to pry open but i would want them too loose either
