Its much easier to use than a regular infrared thermometer because you can actually see the hot spots and aim the measurement at the hot spot instead of just hoping youre pointing the infrared thermometer at the hot spot

The camera needs a slightly larger thermal difference to show color changes than i would like but for the price point i am happy overall

Images and photos taken 100 to 200 feet away have no definition but it does show the heat signature

I give it 4 stars only because the screen orientation is not conducive to viewing wildlife or inspecting tight areas

In the past i have used a singlepoint ir thermometer but going to this gives me a better picture of whats going on
