Had to drive down unplowed road with ice.

You don't need to drive a mile and tighten the chain, just move the car back and forth where you park, you can just tighten up where you first installed it.

This whole process takes me about 10 minutes, maybe 15 when my fingers are frozen and won't listen to me.

I would recommend installing the chains before the snow happens, instead of waiting until after it has fallen.
