Competitiveness
Decided to try seasonic atx units since they were already trusted in my rack chassis
I bought its younger brother seasonic ss1050xm2 atx 1050 power supply and it has been working fine for me since 2014
Upgraded from a seasonic x750 unit as i was upgrading my entire system to a ryzen figured it was the best time
Use a 1000w power supply for a htpc and you are not going to be as efficient as you should be

Velvet bag2 the psu fan is not silent

The fan does ramp up during power ups almost makes a growl like noise

But since the unit comes with a year 12 warranty and i can run the unit in hybrid mode i have to get it a 5 star rating

Do yourself a favor and use an online calculator to check the electricity cost of an 80 bronze power supply and one of these titanium models
