Pros & Cons
Pros
Easy to use and held our umbrella securely. It's difficult to screw down. Securing the umbrella pole.
Holds umbrella perfectly in strong onshore breeze. Arrived quickly, packaged fine, worked as advertised. Gives extra stability to the little flimsy shade umbrellas that are so prone to blowing away in a gust of wind.
Cons
The threads are interrupted, and there is a full disc (not broken or angled) at the top. These two things combine to prevent it from * in well. Arrived with broken and cracked plastic threads.
The molding of the plastic is not correct. Sloppy design. Don't waist your money.
I have another beach umbrella anchor, and it is much easier to screw into the sand. Very difficult to get started on hard-packed sand. Maybe in soft fluffy sand.
