Pros

It's cheaper to buy cameras with a nvr and not dvr,buy package pay 100 buy separate and 2tb for under 50 bucks. Direct replacement for older 1tb drive. Installed to replace 3 500gb drives in my desktop system.

Cons

After searching around, it appears that these drives are generally considered low quality. At 15 days of use they start to lose life and the performance is horrible. Was not used out of the norm either. Very bad reliability.

Buy drives from reputable vendors. Seagate offers no warranty. Don't waste your money or time.

Had no problems and it wasnt removed due to failure

Their own test fails cannot even reformat it from cmd
