I dont know how i missed the barsoom books when i was a kid i got all the tarzan i could but maybe the library didnt have any john carter adventures

There is also an immediate tiein with the cub scouts i can see the faces around the campfire listening intently to davids adventures and screeching for more when each chapter ends with a cliff hangerthis is an unqualified success
