Here are a few tips for using this product
Use a cordless or corded drill to run you blade in the forward motion while slowly moving the blades in contact with the sharpener
Its similar to back lapping however you run the blades forward with this product
Im giving the product 4 stars instead of 5 because the directions and their photos could have been a lot more helpful
Competitiveness
Once i purchased the scotts 200020 20inch classic push reel lawn mower i also ordered the classic sharpening kit

It will cut the grass and grind it into a paste on your abrasive strip possibly ruining it

This solution is definitely cheaper than sending the mower in to get sharpened unless you have a reasonably priced shop nearby that does it

Fortunately my mower is an 18inch one and i could discard the bad end of the abrasive

The hardest part is getting the height adjusted so the blades make sufficient contact with the abrasive to get sharpened without making it impossible to push the mower

The first time i tried the blades werent close enough to the cutting bar so the grass was just getting folded over
