Pros

The new ice machine is quieter than the old one, but it does make some sounds when running and pumping, and when dropping ice.

The ice cubes are awesome. The cubes are easy to scoop up. The ice pods and refrigeration section when the top is removed. This unit makes 24 cubes/cycle vs.

Cons

This ice maker is so loud it doesnt stop running loudly, it is annoying and ridiculous. Attached it and no ice in first 12 hours. It melts very quickly. The cubes dropping out after being formed is quite loud.

Though it has been installed for just one day i am very happy with it so far

The ice is plentiful and of good quality

I managed to install a heater which should protect it but i would not have chosen this product

Same quality ice just lots more of it in a much shorter time frame

Packaging/appearance

I kept the cover plate off of the icemaker back cavity to enable this

Take several screws out from the back of the icemaker so that you can pop off the top plate and side plate to remove the plastic
