Maybe i did wrong but i put the metal part on the phone under the cover and my cover is thin but wont hold much with the mount i had to order an additional metal piece to put it outside of the cover so the phone can stay attached to the mount

I felt like those would be able be positioned very accurately however i always thought it looked clunky

Eventually it broke where the magnetic part attached to the holder due the pulling of it as you remove the phone each time

As long as you arent getting air through the sealed portion its going to stick

An extremely rough road may move it slightly but if you have the magic plates attached to your case on the outside they stick very well and the phone is going to stay put
