This is a fantastic sharpener for knives and chisels. Great for flattening out oil stones that have developed a bow in the middle. Also use it to true my ceramic water stones.

If you consider diamonds science then sure but it is confusing to say the least

Truing stones overtime will eventually lose their flatness but not with a diamond plate

Since this thing is near perfectly flat this will will flattenlevel out any whetstones in no time

It can even be used for knife repair but i wouldnt recommend that as itll prematurely wear out the diamonds if you do use it for metal on metal repairs
