The ditra system is really pricey although the price on amazon was excellent home depot wants almost 50 more money for exactly the same set but schluter called schlüter in germany where they have had a stellar reputation for years is the perfect example of a german quality product sturdy material brilliant engineering precise execution and sophisticated function not to mention slightly overabundant product information…

My contractor was very favorably impressed by the system which he did not know and said there is no comparison with some flimsy alternatives available on the marketbe aware though that the system will not cover the whole surface of a very large bathroom

Mine is just a bit over 90 sqft and after deducting the footprint of the tub shower toilet bowl and vanity a stripe roughly 8” wide along the walls it covered what was left almost exactly

It actually heats the entire bathroom

It’s a little sluggish heating up but the touch screen is intuitive and easy to read
