In conclusion this book is excellent yet if you want a complete selfstudy course you must do all the problems in this book and purchase a separate text with more problems

It is always best to have a teacher or tutor explain the topics then practice and bring back questions to your teacher or tutor and if you are one of the less fortunate who get the occasional bad math teacher then you need to get a tutor and work with them to get the concept then work the problems

If i were just learning algebra however i would not want to pick up this book to learn it from scratch because the explanations are in often in mathspeak instead of plain language

Im the type of person who usually understands math implicitly first and then formally as the pieces fall into place so this book would not be a good teaching book

It feels like cheap recycled paper much like newspaper which gives the book a flimsy feel
