    One minor caveat is that it defaults to 50hz, not 60hz, 720p, not 1080, but that is exceedingly minor, fixable with 2 button presses.

    It's not terrible, but it can make games that require split-second timing, like super mario world, much more difficult to play.

    Though the manual states that the '720p/1080p' button simply toggles between those two output resolutions, i found that's not the case.

    If your tv doesn't support one of the oddball resolutions, (mine did not like 576p and complained about receiving an invalid signal.
