Pros & Cons
Pros
Cleans up easily with just a sponge. Use a little soap and warm water to cut any grease that may be left.
I have uploaded photos showing the aluminum disc on the bottom (that provides even heating), and the ceramic titanium disc in the center. Completely flat (not sloped), and has a nice size outer edge.
This is the third pancake pan i have ordered. It really is an excellent pan. Love using this fantastic pan.
Cons
It's just not worth all that money.

Highlights
Quality
We're pleased with the quality of our scanpan griddle, and enjoying cooking with it.
I am still very happy with the purchase!
Quality is outstanding, weight and ease of use are the same, cleans off with no effort.
We saw scanpan in a store and tried one because of the quality of them.
Price
I find these pans well worth the price.
For the cost i would have expected it to last longer.
They are not inexpensive but they are worth the cost.
Packaging/appearance
Foods with a lot of oil or grease may need additional (dobie) scrubbing to get the gunk out of the surface3.
I bought a scanpan 11 griddle years ago when it used the more conventional teflon coating.
The pan ended up with a gunky coating that i had to use a dobie pad to scrub off, because it sort of got cooked onto the surface.
Competitiveness
It's much more expensive than the kitchenaide griddle i was using, but it's also far better made, has a more ergonomic handle, ... Read More
This is a very-well made, heavy duty griddle.
It got to the point where i would use a scotchbrite pad to clean it.
I was somewhat disappointed that the edges of the griddle weren't a bit higher.

The big problem with all the thin pans was that they would bow up in the center.

It got worse and worse, until i had to push down on the pan, which often put a little downward bow, but soon the pan would bow up again, and the eggs would all run to the edges.
