They work better when brand new and not exposed to toddler teeth of course and if you sling them or throw them hard enough they will leak some however for the most part theyre nearly spillproof

The plastic of this cup is more hard and brittle feeling whereas the munchkin is a rounded design made from a more textured almost springy plastic

The only reason im giving the sassy grow up cups 4 stars instead of 5 is because i was worried that they werent really clean because you cant completely separate the pieces
