Read it analytically. It is widespread, ingrained myths to which populations subscribe that are the glue for societies. Among such myths are religion, capitalism/consumerism, and nationalism.

The book goes off on a tangent when it claims serotonin is responsible for happiness. The author makes repeated claims without any citations or footnotes.

For an author who is such an advocate for ancient foragers, it's funny that he's teaching and published a book.
