Its worse on large cards so i formerly used 16g cards until there was no price difference between 16g and 32g cards

Maybe i only use 9 or 10g per card it isnt a waste

Its insurance against loosing photos in a lost camera loosing sd cards failure of an sd card albeit it has been 10 years since that has happened and being able to conveniently use the retired sd cards as backups
