Pros

True to size. I'm sure it will shrink a bit. Now it fits me perfectly. My only complain is the stitches on the patches are coming loose.

A2 top fits me very snug. Like order an a4 top and a3 bottom. Fyi this one is leaner cut and for my almost 5'9 sons who weigh 125 this fit better than the core competition version.

The pants fit perfect and the drawstring is circular. I wish i could get the pants and tops separate though.

Howard kombat is a very nice, heavy gi. Not only are they lightweight and comfortable, i personally like their color combinations as well. Comfortable and not pricey.

I like that my opponents seem to have a hard time gripping the material. Also the long sleeve rash guard is really nice.

Cons

Along with the unraveling of the thread along the logo on both the pants and the jacket. Maybe my washing machine is crazy powerful, not likely.

Quality

The quality of this gi is exceptional and it is a good looking gi as well.

Both are excellent quality for the price.

I felt compelled to write a review without having actually rolled in this gi yet because i was really blown away by the quality of this gi.

Stitching quality is superb, fabric is very durable and light, drys very quickly and the color scheme with the orange highlight...  Read More

Price

Don’t let the lower price fool you in to thinking it’s cheap, it’s not.

I'm pretty impressed with this gi, especially given the price.

Packaging/appearance

The flat drawstring on my previous gi has twisted up, so the circular design on the sanabul drawstring makes sense.

But when i recieved it, some of the strings on the sanabul logo was hanging off.

Competitiveness

Fyi this one is leaner cut and for my almost 5'9 sons who weigh 125 this fit better than the core competition version.

If your muscular in the upper arms and shoulders the gi is slightly tight and competition measurements may be close.

Bought both this and sanabul core competition gis.

I just bought the sanubul highlights pro gi for competition and love them.

I’m 6’0 and put the pants on and the legs were covering half my feet.

The other was way to baggy in waist and bottom.
