For the money, great lens. At this price is a no brainer. Fast shipping. Dig this lens, great value for the money.
The color and sharpness from this inexpensive lens really make it shine. It is not the sharpest around the edges but for the price it is a great lens for the hobbyist like me. It's sharp even shooting at f2 and has almost no distortion.
The image quality and feel of this lens is fabulous. Its great for environmental portrait photography to tell the story. It works perfectly and intuitively for landscape shots on a tripod.
Build quality and glass is top notch. No qualms about anything with this lens so far. Pretty nice lens, good for a beginner and to practice with.
Cons
For focusing to infinity, do not simply rotate the lens to its full stop focus position. Lens focusing is too stiff and infinity focus/marking is often inaccurate.

At this price is a no brainer
Since both the rokinon and samyang lenses are the same i purchased the lower cost samyang version

The packaging was pretty good and it even came with a lens pouchbag
Competitiveness
I use this lens on my fuji xt2 mirrorless camera
The colors arent as good as the fuji lenses but it is great for the price
I would wager to say that it appears to be more solidly built than significantly more expensive fujinon xf wr lenses that i also own
The image attached is a 6 minute 40 second exposure taken the first day i had the lens behind a 67mm nd10 zomei slim neutral density filter

I use it on my fuji x t10 provides sharp images manual focus but i am used to manual focus

What i dont like is that the photos do appear with a greenish tint straight out of camera compared to fuji native lenses

There is also some noticable purple fringing and vignetting but you can get rid of those by editing

This is a manual focus lens and it is not digitally connected to your camera btw
