They fold up and and can be stored upright. They save space when storing them collapsed.
This review contains only my opinions and i recommend this product. This is in my own words, opinion, with the use of these colanders.
These are so easy to use and saves so much space for storage. I have limited storage space so this item will free up a lot of space in my cabinet.

When putting something heavy in these thawing frozen chicken wings the 34feet34 on the bottom are not either tall enough or strong enough to keep the bottom of the basket from touching the surface below so the drainage isnt quite as good as it could be

However i didnt realize theres no sturdyrigid round foot on the bottom so when you set it in the sink the bottom holes are resting right against the sink
