The x ultra pioneer hikers are simple the best. I buy high end insoles and these shoes are the third home for mine. I have several pairs of salomon xa pro 3d … love them except the “waterproof” pair has a tight toe box. Great shoes for any hiker.

Yes the tongue is a bit small but then again it doesnt bunch up and pinch the top of my foot
