Ours doesnt light up not sure if its supposed to but i wish it did to be able to take the temperature in a darker room

I used a regular digital thermometer at first and it did not go well i had no idea how far in was too fara long thermometer is hard to control with a squirming baby and it took forever to read the temp

Only improvement i can think of would be a backlight for the screen
