Pros

The docking station is usb 3 certified according to the specs. The plastic cover is a bit flimsy but it does have a strong hinge. The offline cloning capability is an added bonus, one for which the cooling fan helps be better.

Other than the seemingly being misnamed, the tool-free model is an overall improvement over the original. Satisfied with the product.

Cons

Using the sabrent dock, the hard-drive is incorrectly recognized as 16tb gpt protected partition. When connected to win 11 pro laptop, it shows a 16tb drive, and windows won't let you perform any actions. Avoid this enclosure.

The device is so lightweight that it weighs about as much as a couple of cds at most. It's made of extremely poor quality plastic. Too cheap, spend more for a better dock. Whatever they’ve designed is absolute trash.

Don’t waste your time or frustration. This needs to be highlighted. This sabrent dock is a waste of money and completely unnecessary.

I got another enclosure and the other brand enclosure did not recognize the partition

These drives were wd gold seagate ironwolfs and seagate exos
