Update: after almost a year of heavy daily use, one of the bowls sounded like it had water inside it.

These do show fingerprints but kids don't care.

I did contact the seller because the bowls do have minor scratches when they arrive (i think they got there during the manufacturing process).

The sides are brushed which is set off by the high gloss rims.

Only lost 1 star (not sure really fair) for not being as pretty/nice feel as below bowls (see link).
