The curve of the body makes it impossible and the g4 is not the largest phone out there by a longshot

Like almost all these gimbals it was obviously designed for an iphone 5s and cant really handle a big phone

Not pointing just at this unit i am familiar with many and most all the current crop of 3 axis 300 gimbals still are back in iphone 5 land the xl ones just give you extra counterweights which limit range of movement read the reviews

If you have an iphone your results may be way different than mine it struggles with the weight of a larger screen phone
