Pros & Cons
Pros
My sister and i are former starbucks employees. I plan on trying it sometime with an extremely hoppy ipa and see if it holds up. The nitro matcha is extra delicious as well.
The stainless steel pieces are heavy and you can tell this thing was engineered and put together properly. Super simple setup. Easy to assemble and disassemble.
My recommendation is to go with the 128oz if you have the refrigeration space. This container dispenses the coffee till i am out. Use 7 oz ground coffee in 2 coffee socks.
This is much more flexible than the growlerwerks ukeg with it's hard to clean design and proprietary larger cartridges. Its supports both n20 and n2 3rd party cartridge and doesn't require any proprietary cartilages. The nitrogen is smooth and doesn’t... Read More
This product is fantastic. This makes me hella excited about future customization possibilities.
Cons
Convoluted process for mediocre nitro. Weird and lingering aftertaste. I wonder if this is what is causing the inconsistency of n2 infusing with my coffee.
Highlights
Quality
I just setup my first batch using n2 cartridges and the quality is on par if not better than the local cafe andor starbucks
I dont always use this but when i do its simple enough and im happy with the quality of the nitro
One missed step will mean the product won’t work
So the 64oz will only give you about 3 cups before you have to refill
Price
The price of cartridges adds up extremely quickly
Packaging/appearance
It isn’t nearly as complex as like brewing beer but it’s still important to get everything accurate especially the measurement ... Read More
I would recommend to people who like nitro as it is great and can make 3 days worth of nitro in the keg
Husbands feedback he first tried straight out of the tap then made his coffee the fame as always “to have an equal comparison”... Read More
Competitiveness
It requires two n2 cartridges per 48oz brew but the results are great
Same delicious flavor as youd expect from the big coffee chains at a fraction of the cost
If you’re using the ultra cartridge you can not fill it up with more than 40oz or it will leak
The small keg only gives me four full fills of my 16oz tumbler
