It also pours very well it doesnt drip hot water everywhere when youre trying to pour

My only complaint would be the lid isnt opened using leverage like other kettles where you press a button and the lid will open away from you so the hot steam will not scold you but with this kettle you have to press and hold a button and open the lid awkwardly into your palm sort of limiting you to only opening it if its entirely cooled off

I put filtered water in it the night before and when i get up just turn on the switch and wait a little and then the switch pops off and its ready to go

There are no plastic parts in contact with the heating water

Owners have said there is no rust after two years the base makes no black marks if the full pot is dragged across the formica counter top
