Pros & Cons

Pros

It is comfortable and easy to manuever. It's a bit expensive and simplistic but it really works. Nice and sturdy.

Rösle de buyer slicer is the only mandolin i keep. It cuts the most even slices of any mandoline i've tried. I love the storability of this slicer as it is not as bulky as other mandolines.

This wire cheese slicer for rosle is a substantial implement, made of 18/10 stainless steel. The tension of the wire is easily adjustable with a knob near the top of the slicer. And yes, it works for fresh mozzarella too.

This is the best slicer i've had to date. It's simple to use and slices easy and cleanly. My kids love it - we have another non rosie and everyone searches the drawer for the rosie.

A quick rinse under the faucet is all it needs. Dawn dish detergent. Pop it right into the dishwasher.

Cons

Think twice about purchasing this item. I am surprised rosle continues to sell this product with such a consistent defect. Very disappointing and worth half the $30 cost.

Mcmaster-carr is a start but how do i measure the thread pitch on a screw that tiny. Call it an indiscretion from my youth 25 years ago, but to keep a non-working slicer around for want of a screw seems worse.

I got tired of struggling with cheese planers that barely work and got the bright idea that since some of my favorite kitchen utensils are rosie brand i should just spend a little extra for a rosle cheese planer
