    Most importantly, they stood up to the task of removing many russian thistle plants (aka tumble weed) and the plants were unable to penetrate them.

    I saw some similar type stihl brand rose bush gloves for a similar price at a local ace hardware store, but the forearm protection is a canvas type cloth, not leather.

    I have heavier gloves for grabbing and hauling the thorny brambles, but they are stiff and clumsy.

    Thorns will pierce the leather because it's supple and soft, but most scratches are shielded way up my arm.

    Basically the language in the back yard went from a samuel l jackson movie to sleeping beauty (where the dragon lady at the end says hell).
