The one it came with came off very easily and was very small.

If there is a pattern on your wall (like the orange-peel paint pattern), it can be difficult to write with a marker, but it isn't terrible.

I also was hesitant to buy something i had to hang up and put holes in my wall - just in case it didn't work out.
